ith buildings made of magically formed ice, the town of Icemere is a marvel to behold. Though the original great Spires of Ice that once watched over the land have since been destroyed, a smaller version has been erected in their place. The town is surrounded by the constantly frozen river F’ra. The sections of the river around the town were raised into the air to serve as ice walls which protect the town from invasion. Inside is everything the occupants would need to survive, including protected gardens, which thrive due to the concentrated efforts of the people of Icemere, who through their magic can warm small sections of earth for farming.
Icemere is the closest populated location to the Dark Citadel. Thus, it was the first to fall to the corruption of the Serpent Riders. The once peaceful inhabitants have all changed into what are now called the Forsaken. Their leader is a Mage of considerable power from the Old World. Though these once proud people are now tainted with bloodlust, they still go about their daily lives. They wait for the word of the Ice Mage. Once that word is given, they will storm the world and kill anyone of the Light they find. Should anyone even alleged to be of the Light enter the town, the entire population would be momentarily overcome by their madness and attack the newcomer.
