Albassa

Order of the Triad Town

O

nce known as the largest producer of meats throughout the world, Albassa is now under the control of the Order of the Triad. Much like Winnowing Hall, the food that Albassa produced was sent to Felhaven to be sold. The town’s entire economy revolved around this trade route. While the town itself is not large, it is spaced widely apart to allow the livestock some space to roam. When the Horseman Famine arrived, there was little hope. Without walls to protect them, farmers and their cattle on the outreaches of the town were slain. The members of the Legion serving as guards in the town were able to form a defensive barricade around the town’s center. Using this barricade it looked like they could hold off the Order indefinitely. However, the curse of Famine took its toll. The remaining livestock died and the food in storage quickly rotted. The surviving people of Albassa began to starve. As the days went on, the strength of the Legion guards waned. Within a week they were too weak to fight. After he tired of toying with them, Famine stood before the people of the town. “If you wish to live in a world where you will feel no pain… in a world where there is at last peace… then join with the Serpent Riders. Become one with our eternal darkness. Should you decline, then you stand in the path of salvation. Those who block our way shall be cut down.” As he unsheathed his unholy blade, the people fell to their knees and offered up their souls to the Serpent Riders. With a smile, Famine watched as they were mutated into the corrupted races of the Order of the Triad.

Now, the barricade once used to keep the Order out of the farming town is now used against the Light Followers. It is here that Famine has set up base, allowing his curse to spread across the land while he remains in safety. The people of Albassa, now changed beyond recognition, no longer die from starvation or monster attacks. They are creatures of evil, and they only thirst for the blood of the Light.
