Equipment
[+] Light Armour
[+] Leather
[+] Barbarian
Made in a similar fashion as the Leather armor. The hide chosen however is from the bears of the north region Tulku. These creatures have a hide much more durable then most animals found anywhere else. Additionally, most of the fur is kept attached to provide warmth from the cold.
Can be found in any city or town in Tulku. Can also be found in Felhaven and Easterholm.
[+] Spidersilk
It is fairly common for tailors to hire a mage to summon a spider demon and collect their silk. This magical silk can be used to weave a suit of armor that is light but incredibly durable. The armor itself consists of a hood for the head, long pants for the legs, a robe for the chest, gloves for the hands, and sturdy boots for the feet.
Can be found mainly in the region of Shadow Wood. Felhaven may have some. The town of Vernul will sell it, as will the city of Seven Portals.
[+] Chainmail
Many interlocking metal chains forged together to form a suit of armor. Often a single piece or armor is composed of a couple layers of this material to provide the best protection.
Can be found for sale exclusively at Easterholm.
[+] Voidspace
Metal ore found in the Soulrend region appears as black and empty as the void of space. When forged into a suit of armor, the material proves not only to be light in weight, but able to take more of a beating then any common armor. Those who wear this armor find that not only does it make little noise, but makes the wearer harder to see.
Rare to find. Some pieces can be bought in the swamps towns of Darkmire and some on the island of Mazaera.
[+] Crystal
The magical crystals found in caves throughout Gununga can be used by master armor smiths to create a suit of light, but strong, armor. The process of making each of the pieces takes even the most skilled at least a month. Thus, the transparent blue armor is not only rare to find, but expensive to purchase. The properties of the crystal itself grant the wearer an increased chance to reflect magic back at the caster.
Can be found in Gununga, though very few pieces would be for sale.
[+] Skyseeker
An armor not from the Old World, but from the original land of the Seraphs. It is called the Skyseeker, for only the most enlightened and powerful Seraphs were allowed to wear it. These majestic suits of light armor are not just for show, for there is no common protection that can compare. The armor smiths of this world are unable to fathom how to forge a single piece, nor do they even know of what material it is made of. All that can be figured out is that if an Angel were to wear armor, it would look like this.
Cannot be bought. Earned through a quest line.
[+] Nightbringer
(The evil alternative to the Skyseeker armor; same stats)
The royal guards to the previous Deathkings wore not heavy, but a light armor. These pieces of unknown origin were able to turn aside most man made weaponry. When a mortal wears this armor, they radiate with pure evil. The Serpent Riders are known to bestow it as a gift to those who they deem worthy. Few have been considered to be so honored.Cannot be bought. Earned through a quest line.
[+] Heavy Armour
[+] Iron
Thick plates of iron banded together to form a crude and heavy form of protection. Iron is a common material and thus Iron armor can be found in nearly any armor shop.
Can be bought in any town or city that sells armor.
[+] Silver
A skill taught to an apprentice when they become full fledged blacksmiths is the ability to create Silver armor. Silver ore and forged iron is mended and molded into a formidable suit of armor.
Can be bought in the Steppe region’s city and towns. Can also be bought in Easterholm, The Wastelands, and Shadow Wood.
[+] Gold
A blacksmith is only considered an expert in their trade when they can craft a suit of Gold armor. Forging together bits of iron ore, some silver ore, and a heavy amount of gold ore creates an amazingly strong material. The Gold armor is created with royal knights in mind. While not pure gold, a full suit can fetch a good price on the market.
Can be bought in Steppe, Gununga, Easterholm, Mazaera, and Maerin.
[+] Platinum
Within deep mines on Easterholm can be found the rare material of Platinum. The master smiths of Holmskeep are the only ones who know how to take this metal and forge it into a powerful suit of heavy armor. The forging process is long and hard, adding to the already high price of each piece. Those wearing Platinum armor show off both their might and their economic status.
Can be bought exclusively on Easterholm.
[+] Warblood
The Forsaken of Icemere realized that in order to conquer in the name of the Serpent Riders, they would need better armor then what could be found in Tulku. Through a secret forging method taught to them by the Ice Sages they learned to create a suit of armor that could turn aside most steel. The Forsaken believe that the armor gains its power not from the metal, but from the blood of their enemies splattered on it during a ritual performed on each piece of armor. No Light Follower blacksmith has ever been able to reproduce the forging process. As far as they can tell, the blood ritual keeps the metals together. No Light Follower can perform this ritual as it calls upon the Serpent Riders.
Can only be taken from a slain Forsaken. Will not be made for anyone else.
[+] Deathbone
The founders of Necromancy did not only receive the Dark Art, but were given a suit of armor made from the bones of dead demons. This armor, while heavy in weight, not only offered superior protection but each suit had an enchantment befitting the specific Necromancer wearer. Even if one is not a dark artist, anyone that wears this armor is considered to be associated with the darkest of them.
Can only be found in the Wastelands. Very few pieces can be bought.
[+] Godplate
The most holy of armors is one blessed by a direct connection to the Light God. It is the greatest of honors to receive the Godplate, for only the strongest and most devoted can bear its heavy protection. The Church blacksmiths pray daily in hopes that they will be shown by the Light God how to forge this magnificent armor. It is said that when a Champion of Good is needed, only then shall the secret come to the holy blacksmiths during their prayer rituals. Those who forge even a single piece are unable to recall the process afterwards, feeling light-headed as if they had merely been avatars. It is up to the highest ranks of the Church to decide who may attempt to wear the Godplate.
[+] Demonplate
Forged by the most cruel hearted blacksmiths with the darkest of intentions, Demonplate is a metal composed of demon flesh, human flesh, and a metallic substance that must be summoned forth from the Realm of the Dead. After the armor is created, it must be soaked in the blood of Light Followers for six days. All the while, prayers and chants are sung to the Serpent Riders, that they might bless the armor with their corruption. The final product is a suit made of pure evil. It is worn by only the most powerful of Daemon leaders, as only those deemed worthy by the Serpent Riders are allowed to don it.
